While we’re often working in dated pre-war buildings with plenty of surprises, this Upper East Side condo renovation took place in a relatively new building, The Gotham. A young family had recently purchased the condo and wanted to renovate the three bathrooms, kitchen, and flooring before moving in. Our goal was to take the strong bones of the developer-build and upgrade with more personalization and space for our clients’ growing home.
A client priority of this NYC condo renovation was to open up the kitchen, requiring us to create a pass-through, which we accented with hanging modern Eurofase pendant lights. Clearing the space also required us to remove various unwanted curves and angles from the foyer, which we did in great detail. The glossy Calacatta Verona quartz countertops and backsplash are complemented by a combination of Miralis Simply White cabinets on bottom and creamy, frameless oak Macchiato cabinets up top - creating an overall luxe setting that resonates across the whole condo.
Three bathroom remodels were required in this NYC condo renovation, all of which had their own challenges. One of the en suite bathrooms required us to reconfigure the shower and the toilet for preferred placement and a bigger shower space than the prior stall, and moving the shower created some plumbing issues we had to accommodate.
In the main bathroom, we custom-cut the oversized porcelain tiles, which we then juxtaposed with an intricate Amsterdam Chevron White mosaic pattern on the floor of the new walk-in shower. The double vanity balances out the immaculate but inviting master bathroom design with an organic touch from the natural wood.

Worked with the Gallery Team to do a full gut renovation of our home. As a young family we wanted a more modern and open layout but needed a practical and functional layout which the Gallery Team worked with us to design. They were very helpful through the entire process and worked with us each step of the way with great responsiveness and care for our project. They were helpful but not pushy through the design process and efficient through the construction process. They maintained open lines of dialogue and we are very happy with the way our home turned out. Thank you Gallery!
